LEGEND OF THE DREAMCATCHER
Long ago, high on a mountain, an old Lakota Sioux spiritual leader had a vision in which Iktoma, Great Teacher of Wisdom, appeared as a spider. The spider spun a web of the elder's willow hoop, horse hair, beads, feathers and various offerings.
Iktoma said to see the web's circle with the hole in its center, to use the web to help achieve your goals and dreams ... that if you believe, the Great Spirit enables this web of life to catch your good ideas and dreams while the bad ones flow away through the holes.
Many people believe the dreamcatcher holds their destiny.
Some place a dreamcatcher above each exterior door to keep the bad ideas/dreams out and to hold the good ones inside their homes.
Some give a dreamcatcher to the young to assist in eliminating bad dreams, and even place a dreamcatcher above their own beds.
Some decorate their dreamcatchers with small objects (usually stones and beads) as they attain their hopes and dreams, much like a charm bracelet.
I would like to see you accomplish your goals, achieve your hopes and treasure your dreams in every way.
I see my role in helping you achieve "The American Dream" of owning your own home. Based on these old traditions, I chose the name of my real estate company very carefully: American Dreamcatcher Realty.
